My friend sells Scentsy. They have now started their own fondue called Velata. I bought and tried some. It is really yummy and is gluten-free. Just one more thing that makes me happy and I had to share. :) https://fonduedirect.velata.us/Velata/Buy?partyId=85202874&gclid=CNi0-5PS1LACFQ9whwodcQL73g

GF protein drink

I have been looking into using a protein drink. There is lots of different info out there about it. I spoke with a friend yesterday and she said she uses Muscle Milk. I looked it up and was pleasantly surprised to find this email out there...

Hi folks! I just got an email from Cytosport following an enquiry I made, and thought I'd share the answer with you. I love Muscle Milk because it's lactose free, but I wanted to make sure it was gluten-free also. Here was the reply:

Our Muscle Milk RTD’s are gluten free. Muscle Milk powder is gluten free except for the following flavors:

- Cookies & Crème

- Chocolate Banana Crunch

- Chocolate Malt

Sincerely,

Jeff

Hope that helps some of you

Debbie

So...if you are looking for a GF protein drink...here's one to try. I am going to. :)

Cherry chocolate Smoothie

Years ago I invented this recipe. I was recently asked about it so I am now sharing it. It is evilly yummy and even healthy! :)

Cherry chocolate Smoothie

In a blender add...
1/2 bag of frozen cherries
1 cup of vanilla yogurt
about 3/4 cup of chocolate almond milk

Blend together until smooth. Almond milk may vary with each smoothie. If not blended well, add more milk.

Strawberry-Banana-Peach-Mango Smoothie (fruit only)

Recently I did a cleanse. I figured out this recipe out at that point. It is incredibly yummy!

Strawberry-Banana-Peach-Mango Smoothie (fruit only)

In blender add...
Cup of frozen strawberries
1 ripe banana
Cup of frozen peaches
1 Can of Mango nectar (preferable room temperature)

Blend together until smooth and drink.

You can add about 2/3 cup of Almond milk for protein and for more of a sherbet taste if desired.

Burger King fries are gluten free!

GF NEWS
Burger King's New Fries ARE Gluten-Free
The folks at Burger King have just confirmed that their new fry recipe, the first change since 1998, is gluten-free. The new fries are thicker, with reduced sodium and a coating that makes them crisper and keeps them hotter. They have been available in all of Burger King locations since December 5.

Zatarain's Products

I am back on the search for yummy gluten-free foods. Last week I decided I was going to attempt to make Monterey Chicken. FYI...it turned out WAY yummy! If you want the recipe, just ask me and I will tell you what I did. I was looking for a side dish and had heard that some of the Zatarain's rice mixes were gluten-free. I was thrilled to find out that several of them are. Today I did more research and found out per their website that they have 19 different gluten-free rice mixes. Their website also has gluten-free recipes. I am so happy! I am also attempting to cut down on my sugar consumption and sugar is incredibly low in these mixes as well.

Each time I find a new source for gluten-free items that are mostly or already prepared I get teary-eyed. It is so nice to find things that make my life a bit easier. I love cooking but I don't always have the time every single day to cook.

For more information on Zatarain's check out their website...
